Experiences
I am currently Professor of Mineralogy and Geology in the Department of Geological Sciences, University of Cape Town. I am an igneous petrologist by training and most of my research involves stable isotopes. I have a large number of active projects but am particularly interested in the mantle source of large igneous provinces, low-d18O magmas, and peralkaline granites. I am also interested stable iotope hydrology.
